MBSR Level 2 Refresher Classes:

stretchThis four-week refresher class is for anyone who has completed the MBSR program. It is an opportunity to re-invigorate and deepen your mindfulness practice. We will review the mindfulness practices you learned in the eight-week program (Body Scan, Yoga, Sitting and Walking Meditation, Loving-kindness Meditation, and mindfulness of daily activities.)

Each class will include a goal setting exercise wherein you will select specific mindfulness practices and how much time you would like to set aside to practice each of them in the coming week. There will be discussions and exercises to help you work more skillfully with stressful situations, emotions, and interpersonal communications. We will also do an exercise to help you analyze your daily routine with a view to increasing the amount of time you spend in activities that bring joy and a sense of well-being.

Cost is $100 for members and nonmembers. Prior completion of MBSR is required.

Mindful Emotional Balance Classes:

If you have suffered from low mood in the past and want to prevent future episodes, this class may be for you. You will learn mindfulness-based and cognitive strategies to help you identify and work constructively with the negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors that fuel depression.

This six-week series of classes is open only to graduates of MBSR. It is suitable for anyone who has experienced episodes of depression and who is either in complete remission, or experiencing low to moderate, (not severe) levels of depression, anxiety or manic tendencies.

Cost is $200 for members and nonmembers
